The infamous Duo: Muffy and Rocky

As you may have noticed during some of our gears matches, there is a distinct bark or growl in the background. That growl/bark is coming from Muffy (the poodle). I thought you might enjoy seeing what the culprit looks like for yourselves.

As for Rocky (the chihuahua), he is usually quiet and stays out of trouble. Next time you hear a bark, remember that fluffy face!

First look: Bullet Marsh and Clock Tower

sdI found this in the Epic Games forum today. Someone posted this image featuring two thumbnail sized screens of the upcoming free maps, Swamp and Clocktower.

The image also has a disclaimer which reads: If you did not purchase Horde Command Pack, Aura, Rustlung, and Blood Drive ARE NOT available in Horde, Beast, Privately hosted Versus matches.

Hammerburst Changes

The Hammerburst has received 3 buffs as of today:

1. Damage increase at long range distance.
2. 2 additional magazines added to overall ammo.
3. Aiming not affected by movement

The Scorcher Series

Here's a new line of videos that I'm currently working on. Each video will be about 10 minutes and will explore different scenarios with a given weapon.  The purpose of these videos is to explore and detail weapons and their mechanics. I hope that these videos will be useful as our war against the COG continues.
The first weapon I'm covering is the Scorcher. I chose the Scorcher because despite being on several maps, the gun is simply overlooked. It's been almost 2 months since launch, and I've yet to see anyone wield this weapon effectively. I'm not sure why, but it also seems to be a top choice for developers when they decide to do weapon swaps on maps. All of these things combined make the weapon worth exploring.

Hopefully, these videos will help us learn how to use and defend against this weapon more effectively.

The Defeat of Prowluh!

As of 2 minutes ago, Prowluh was defeated on Hotel with a score of 5-4 in favor of the locust! (that's us!)

Knowie and I fought a hard battle and managed to come back from a 4-2 deficit, and we even stole the MVP in the process! (MVP went to Knowie)

Today is a proud day for locust everywhere. Remember this day!

RAAM's Shadow DLC!

Pit People,

Apparently new DLC is coming on Dec. 13th called Raam's Shadow DLC. Here is the article:

Due on Dec. 13, "RAAM's Shadow" sees Zeta Squad attempting to evacuate Illima City in the wake of Emergence Day. Your muscular protagonists for the trip are Michael Barrick (plucked from Gears of War comics), original character Alicia Valera, Gears of War 2's tattooed Tai Kaliso, and a perforation-free version of Lt. Kim. (Presumably, he's still got the codes.)

RAAM's running time is pegged at three hours, and it offers a couple of other bonuses. For $15 / 1200 MSP you'll also get six more multiplayer characters, the "chocolate" weapon set (we're unclear if that refers to a color scheme or a dairy-based construction), Achievements amounting to 250 Gamerscore and -- oh, what's this? "In addition to fighting as a new squad of Gears, players will step into the boots of RAAM himself, and for the first time storm the human stronghold from the perspective of one of the series' most legendary bosses."

As with the first round of upcoming DLC, "Horde Command," Gears of War 3 Season Pass owners get RAAM'd for free.

Looks like Knowie may get to play as Kim after all.
